I'd make sure family was ok.
Tie up loose ends sell everything except the bikes.
Ship my bikes and get on a plane .
get a place not in the middle of nowhere but not in the middle of town.
Get a dog and leave everything behind and make a clean start.
Minimal belongings and fresh air.
Nobody would know me and that would suit me fine now.

would get nice terraced cottages in nice villages in notts /leicestershire, one across the road was up for sale a while ago £115, 4 doors up from it was a 6 bedroom georgian house that changed hands for £900k recently, if this your definition of a crap area maybe its time to get a passport and venture outside of the M25

 

I'd get out of a terraced house .. I'm end of ..

you can move into a great terrace.

Hell, you can't even get much here in Milton Keynes for that. You need to budget about £160,000 - £180,000 for a 3 bed terrace or semi with a garage in an ok ish area here. Appartments aren't much cheaper

 

God maybe I should move... some of the new built apartments in Cambridge go for about £210k for a studio flat

 

And obviously they're worth that

 

Of course the reason it's so dear down here is we have all the fit women and all the work...
