  2. What's all this moaning about the lighter wheels? They told us in the presentation that the even-lighter wheels were an optional extra. Buy em or don't buy em.

I wouldn't be at 5K, but at 3.5K they're close enough to the cost of mass-produced light wheels to warrant getting the 'right' wheels and they'll likely be very limited production run items too.

  10. Variable priced unobtanium.

  11. That's the worse kind, damn them.

  12. How high the prices are across the board generally, then the wheels on top for the Speciale.

I'm doubting whether I want the bike based on the prices alone. The more I look at it the more I'm questioning it

  13. Like I said in my previous post I just don’t see a 10k increase over an V4S in the Speciale, Akra, DDA+GPS and a paint job doesn’t equate to 10k then another 5k for the forged Mag wheels???

If the wheels were included it would make sense.

Base and S prices moved up by 10% give or take which isn’t too bad and I can cope with, the R has got to be heading north of 45k at this rate... mental.

Or by an RSV4RF and pocket a load of change.

  14. It makes me wonder if it'll go up again, too. After all, if it means they lose a few individual sales they'll more than make up for it on aggregate. They only have to sell 7 extra sets of wheels to counter the loss of one sale. And then they'll sell that AND the wheels to someone else who doesn't mind being bummed but not cuddled afterwards.

  15. Might even get to buy the new factory kit they announced, something along the lines of 10kg weight saving, motogp winglets, new pistons and 215bhp+

    All as a bolt on.

  16. When do we think BST will have wheels available for the V4??

  17. As soon as they read this thread and realise they can charge £3295 a set for the undercut :)

  18. Nah, the yanks will keep it real. And surely that can't be right, 3.5k for Speciale wheels? Total piss take.

  19. Yep I don't understand the pricing of the Speciale either, AFAIK it's the same motor as the base and S?
