Ducati/VR era officially over!

  1. the fact is the best rider and supposed development expert in the world took all his cronies with him and for two years they altered and changed the bike about and could not get it to work..

Im sure hawhey apppreciates not having contributed any thing to the M1

  2. I'd simply appreciate honest personal appraisals of performance from both JB & Rossi.

Then fuck em, they're old news for Ducati and we have new riders to consider now ...... Think we're best off supporting them personally.

  3. You changed your tune.. You were all honda for the last 2 years

  4. I'll say it again : they skipped the 07/08 frame...
thay shoudl have endured with the frameless model...
impossible to make the bike flex? it must be impossible not to make it flex...

so : it is impossible not te make it work... but not if you go all over the place...

there is nothing to be found where your outerwordly competitors have been all their F..cking history!

  5. nah, i was all STONER.....always was and still will be deep down in some blind hope he returns :)

he gaves me honesty....well he did before he buggered off bless him ;)

i like rossi for some stuff as you know and I just like pissing about , but I must admit I do sometimes wish both him and JB would do a little more frankness and just get stuff out in the open and be less worried about what they should say / admit.

perhaps nows the time eh? Being knocked down a peg or two can do wonders for attitude and outlook so maybe he'll grit his teeth, forget all the clownish stuff and fucking race :)

but I'm hoping spies does well, can't say I really like dovi, just doesn't float my boat but if he's trying then that's all I ask.

besides....... I'm an R1 owner....... What good is that if I can't emblazon it with garish 46 stickers :)

Just kidding, for the record mines tech 3 colours....... Gotta be really being an all British rider line up......go Cal!

  6. Interestingly I read an article by Stoner recently recapping his bikes over the years, and he says that the carbon framed GP08/09 was much better to ride than the GP07, but that everyone else had caught up by then so he had to push even harder. But he was clear that the carbon framed bike was an improvement in his opinion....... (not that this means much, he just seemed to give it the berries and try to hold on! - that thing always looked out of shape!)

They will never achieve anything if you chop and change design paradigms without adequate thought. Either go frameless and commit/try to make it work (seems to be the ethos at least at the time 08/09 - when the 1199 was also first being thought through), or go back to a completely different design - twin spar/different engine for e.g. But a halfway house is unlikely to be successful at that level.

I wait to see how they get on with the 1199 too, that will be a big test. So far there are a lot of dissenters to that bikes performance, and the frameless design was conceived in the same era as the frameless GP bikes. Bayliss seems to be quick on it, but so far not the others.....

GP06/07 half-steel-frame/stressed engine configuration has been their most successful to date.

And for what it's worth, my Desmo (same design) rides far better than my Panigale (complete frameless design). Maybe in time I will get the Panigale setup better, but so far the Desmo beats it hands down in terms of feedback/handling.

  7. Think they might be old news in motogp soon too. Well at the end of the season anyway.

  8. I'm looking forward to close fairing bashing racing of old! BUT Dorna just made up a new points system for this year to stop agrressive riding!! FFS it's not knitting twats!

  9. How do you knit a twat? Surely that would be clam jousting?

  10. Yeh I read that but tbh I reckon that's just a rule to appease some of the moto2 boys what with Marquez getting away with so much last year (and probably designed to reign him in)

i think they should be allowed rubber truncheons so they can battle more, imagine that? Making the decision to either keep both arms hard on the bars braking late in to a corner or have one arm spare to give your neighbour a friendly tap :)

for the record I'd like it noted I came up with that idea and am happy to allow Dorna to use it subject to a fee ;)

  11. my thought exactly : sending MM on early retirement! :(

  12. Just for you mate  Welcome Home Vale! - YouTube

  13. Welcome home the doctor! the man who fixed the yamaha!

Poor old ducati! missed the chance of a life time by not listening

  14. WGAF...............................eyties or slanteyes. All bloody foriegners.

  15. Pretty hard to interpret someone speaking "in tongues"

  16. i can't recollect Vale being hired to make a bike... It s his job ot ride them, not make them..Prezi should have done that...

all Vale knows is the yamaha ..and it s yamaha who made it, not Vale. he set it to his hand...
so what else to expect then for him to try to have something made yam - like?

So, listen to what? how to make a yam? he can't have told them that as he didn't make it in the first place..
they should have hired Mr Tsuji and Mr Nakajima instead if they wanted that ...
