Help With Rsv4 Problem. Calling Rsv4 Owners.

  1. Anyone reconize the fault below?
    Bike just randomly losses power, then revs up and down on its own.
    It's been in and out the dealers a few times, even had the throttle bodies swapped out.
    Belongs to a mate.
    Any help appreciated.

    (symptoms as described sound like fuel starvation)

  8. What is the red flashing light ? One issue disussed on the rsv forum was chaffing of the loom under the front of the tank which shared some of your mate's symptoms. Andy

  10. I have exactly the same problem with my RSV4 RF , It started on day 1 of 5 days in Almeria , last week. The bike is not getting back to the UK till 3rd December , at which point it will go straight to Aprilia Performance in Tamworth to get sorted.
    As soon as the problem is sorted I shall let you know , what it was .

  11. I've had a couple of RSV4's and I've never seen or heard of this problem before, would be interested to see what it is, considering I've just bought one.

  14. Hmmmmm. :thinkingface: It looks like it's searching for something. Would be interesting to find out what it turns out to be, given 2 people on this thread have the issue. My money is on a defective sensor of some sort.
