  1. Impressive!

    Hours of fun.... 100_1393.JPG

  3. Very clever mate, I'm hugely impressed, spot on attention to detail, I particularly like the belt covers and the whole retro theme, I take my hat off to you sir, keep up the fabulous work.

  4. Getting the 32mm nut off of the clutch turned out to be a bit of a misson. 100_1397.JPG

  6. Two minutes on the road and they will be brown again - cheap stainless steel is wot Ducati used. Get the damn things coated in something.

  7. If the stainless still cleans up after 20 years use why pay out £100's to get them coated?

  8. Exeter?
I look forward to seeing it around. :)

  9. Mine were 20 years old - cleaned up fairly well, but they went brown PDQ so I used Sperex VHT silver grey on them - I think it was about £8.00.

Note: Full fairing was before I did the paint job on it.

  10. My mistake I thought you were talking about ceramic coating.
Didn't know that paint would stick to stainless, learn something new everyday.
    Nice looking SS btw.

  11. Pity I sold it, Steve - looked even better after the paint job.

  12. Spent my last 3 days off getting the engine cleaned up.
Threw a few coats of paint on this morning. Next job is to get the casings polished. 100_1413.JPG 100_1414.JPG

  13. 5 and a half hours spent in the shed today, polishing.
All that I've got to show for it is a valve cover, and the majority of the clutch casing. 100_1416.JPG 100_1417.JPG

  15. Hopefully I'll get the frame, and wheels back from the sprayer next week.
The engines just about ready to go back in. 100_1419.JPG 100_1421.JPG View attachment 102832 100_1423.JPG

  17. Got the frame, and wheels back from the sprayer this morning. Now I can crack on with the most enjoyable part of the project.....bolting shiney bits together.
