  1. Hi everyone

Thinking about going to watch the Silverstone MotoGP in August 2018. Any advice on best stand to book or just get general admission?

Any opinions or advice would be great

    Thanks

  2. I’m to tight to pay for grandstand - we always have general admission ( open grandstands Fri & Sat ) usually stand at Vale
Good overtaking spot and a screen to watch

  3. Ducati stand usually pretty good

  4. Which stand is the Ducati stand?

  5. I was thinking just general admission too, thanks for the advice!

  6. Google, they sell tickets at same price as other stands but Ducati usually give away a few goodies, tee shirts that are far too small etc

  7. Ordered my tickets. Been to BSB before but not moto GP. looking forward to it.

  8. Me and the Mrs went this year, we were in the Ducati stand (Luffield) opted for the left hand side and it was a great view, highly recommended, will hopefully be doing the same this year... Will be taking earplugs though, forgot how loud they are :D

  9. I always go on the Friday as it’s cheaper and you still get to see the bikes, plus I can watch the actual race on TV on the Sunday with the bike cameras.

  10. You should definitely go...

I've been for the last 6 years and have loved every time I've been. This year we decided to camp and can't fault the facilities one bit. Racing was brilliant and the weather was stunning so topped off a great weekend (well we actually did Thursday to Monday)
As some people would say the track isn't the best, but with the investment from formula 1 the facilities and stuff around the track is pretty good.

I've watched from all around the track each time I've been... Club, Village, Luffield and Woodcote... I would say that Woodcote is the best, you get to see a lot of the track, coming down wellington straight - through luffield - then Woodcote and then power on, sliding round on to the start/finish straight...

We have grandstand seats as we go for the whole weekend plus day of champions on the Thursday but as we live only 25 minutes away we could travel there and back each day... the only real advantage with grandstand seats is that they are reserved so your guaranteed a seat and if you book together at the same time with others than you can sit together.

As you can probably guess we're all booked up for next year too...
