the DIY board (which has a box for every room) is just house stuff. Toys always take priority over the board.... that is the perfect system!
Not fancy keeping the 1299 now you have fixed it? I suppose having a warranty is a major factor after that happening I was going to get a 959 corse just for the warranty as mine is out in March but i just dont like the paint job and hoped they would have put the under seat exhaust on or something.
Even before all of the hassle I had decided the 959 was a more comfortable fit for me. I had a deposit down for the Corse, but it is £4.5k more than I paid for the new (standard) 959, and I would also probably have just stored the fairings.... I can get some trioptions spec suspension and still have change from the £4.5k. All with a 4 year warranty... and I don’t have to wait!
I agree, the paint scheme is very disappointing. Probably vinyl stickers and not even paint, looks like it belongs on a star wars droid not a Ducati I was hoping for so much more on the corse. I'll stick with what I have
It is paint.... hopefully a bit thicker than the show bikes, because there were photos circulating From the shows of the tail from being kicked a couple of times....
So standard 959 from stock item then? Don’t blame you. Assume the 1299 kit mostly fits anyway for trackday ?
i was at the NEC and there were marks all over the bike and some of the pin striping wasnt very crisp but it has a sticker on it saying pre production demo only or something. It is definitely paint and not vinyl. they should have toned it down a bit i dont like the 90's tracksuit paint jobs
Yes, it was a cancelled order going for £12k. Unregistered with delivery miles. Some stuff was already on the 959 before the 1299, but the fairings, tail tidy, upper rad guard, fork protectors, throttle spacer, brake guard will all definitely fit. In the to be checked list are the rearsets, sato suspension bracket, and GB Racing engine casing protectors. The rear stand, hugger and swingarm protector will all have to go on eBay (or get a Single sided swingarm! )
Let me know what you want for the stand, I may bite the bullet and bet one so I can get both wheels off the ground easily on the multi for tyre changes etc
