  12. Can I put this to you fin

At the earliest stage, many brexiteers suggested, watch the eu, they will do anything they can to punish us not only for leaving but for stopping being the bread basket of the eu. Remainers said oh noooooo they won't. The eu said nien, non and every european variation of it said they will not.

So far, they have asked us for around £50 billion despite there being not a legal point for asking either in the eu mandates or article 50. We have been told it is more about a good will payment to ensure future trading with the eu. On that basis they want us to pay £50 billion to sell to them whilst we ask nothing for them to sell to us, even more so as they have more to lose than us. Think on that

They have asked for a red line in the Irish sea and Northern Ireland to be slowly joined back to the republic through the back door and will use the peace agreement to do so despite the peace agreement respecting two separate sovereign parts

On citizens rights they want to create a two tiered system within the U.K. that will not be allowed in the eu, of where one union ignores the rights of the citizens in a non eu country and that all eu citizens will have automatic rights to bring their relatives over into the U.K.

Now forgive me fin, If I was in the eu negotiating team and wanted not only to piss off the U.K. but also try and bring down the government I would ask for, A huge amount of money I was not entitled too, stick my nose in the Irish issue and insist eu immigration into the U.K. and it's courts were run by the eu and this is only at stage one

The eu have no intention of completing a eu agreement, they are simply asking for things that they know will cost the U.K. government, it's government, and will continue to do so until it feels it has achieved that. Stage two will be very much in the same vein, asking for things Brits will never allow for them to then turn on the government if they do say yes.

Far better we just say, I'm not playing your game Jean Claud, we are going to wto were you can't fuck us about or try and destroy us just because we feel democracy is far more important that your gated community and business's wishes.

  13. "punish" is a brexiteers word, "protect" was the remainers word.
i dont know enough about the 50bill. its been suggested there is no legal obligation to cover the commitments made by the uk. nor do i know the cost of them. but i do remember the the UK gov rhetoric around 2014 and the prospect of us leaving without taking a share of the uk debt, but funnily enough v.little was said about the share of the uk assets. hypocrites.
had the brexiturds done some planning, proper planning with a bit consideration to how this would impact other parts of the uk with an eye on the fact you no longer rule the waves, maybe the other 27 who helped the peace process wouldn't have to do the thinking for you. but no solution has been found for you as far as i know. its a bit of a pisser the silly wee island of Ireland has the mighty uk over a barrel no?.
i dont know enough about this 2tier system and the automatic rights of family members, but i do know the uk had the power to kick out any EU national after 3months of no work. successive uk govs chose not to. easier to blame them for your woes than the gov taking responsibility maybe?.
the rest is ether hypothetical or brexiturd hyperbole/scaremongering. remember, its protect not punish.
better for whom btw? the tax payer or avoider?
we are well plumbed in to the EU so will it be better for the predicted 80k job loses over a decade in Scotland until the uk gov, who will naturally do what they have always done and buy their core vote on trade missions?. the north isnt quite the right wings core vote.
    yet.
but with a little help from their friends they they will keep trying.
    nice.
    not.

  14. ????? Have you been starting early today? It's been explained loads of times fin, the eu makes financial decisions based on a 7 year cycle, the current one finishes in 2020 so are expected to pay around £10 billion per year till that end date as is our "share" we have made no commitment beyond that as we had last year, given them a 4 year notice of leaving. They want us to keep paying our £10 billion per year then at the end also pay around £50 billion ontop of the £40 billion 2016-2020 membership fee

If you were thinking clearer fin you will remember we mac flip flop sturgeon said we want a per person share of all assets of the U.K. when we leave, where we in the U.K. have not said that to the eu as we leave. You seem to be remembering things back to front fin so let me put this to you

If Scotland had voted to leave (unlikely in my life time) but if they had and negotiations had started and the U.K. said to you, no per person share of U.K. assets but instead you will pay £50 billion to keep trading with us, we want to treat the Orkneys in a way that still considers them British by using our rules and customs and the Scottish high court can be overuled by the U.K. supreme court. What would your response be? No avoiding now

As I mentioned earlier they chose three things they knew would almost certainly break the U.K. government or drive us back to the eu (in their mind) but I feel it's backfired and will now increase the call that I feel has been the eu's goal all along in order to protect the eu project, and for us to go to wto. As soon as that happens or the Irish question has been dealt with then the Taoiseach will be largely pushed to the back of the queue as he will have served his purpose as a eu pawn.

Yeah your obsession with Scottish then claiming eu trips you up fin, one minute Scotland will lose 80k jobs, no way of knowing that at all and the next day , we must stay in the eu as we Scots need eu labour, make your mind up.

  17. No Brexit impact assessment on the economy done by the Government.

You couldn't make up the incompetence of this lot.

Risk assessments, business plans? Why bother? Just shows they don't give a shit about anybody's job except their own.

  18. Iz you been on the confuzed juice?

I asked, if Scotland left the U.K. and the U.K. put to Scotland the terms that the eu are currently putting to the U.K. what would be your thoughts?

Unless you are doctor who, then no you haven't time travelled into the future. No worries on the links although I was puzzled for your request about the donkey with 5 legs :eyes:

  19. its a hypothetical deal by the sounds of it, more inside info than i have picked up from the commentators i trust. to be fair tho, i have been focusing on the round.
from what i mind the deal sounds considerably worse than any deal bitter together where proposing. it was the deal most wanted. and going by the polling patterns it was the deal what swung it. in fact, the only big comparisons i can draw between the two reffs it was the uk gov and Parliament making most if not all the threats, along with those the uk lobbied for support.
if i was barnier i would carry a big of salt.

  20. End of.
