A dry spell of weather, mild (ish), no salt. I now have to take the toys out for a play on Saturday and Sunday, fill them up again and then put them back in the garage. Won't even have time to put my new bits on the 1198.
Yep - hopefully I'll be able to get out too. But only after I've taxied the daughters to dancing etc. Anyone out for a spin around Weston-super-Mud?
Laying in bed with sounds of the 60's on the radio and a mild dry bright day outside I'd Just love to nip down to the ace cafe for a Bacon sammich.
Just got back after an early morning blast. Little bit damp to start, but dry enough to have a play
Lol pissing down he overnight and light drizzle this morning...so no engine 2 wheels for me this morning ;-)
Blue sky and dry roads up here, just had a nice run out and stopped for a bacon and egg sarnie, quite a lot of bikes about today. Steve.
Rain just makes it a bit more interesting!! Seeing how many times the back end steps oot on a cold/wet/dark morning always wakes me up on the way to work!! Oh and pothole dodging!
Also got the first run of this year in today, bit slippy on the roads but no salt & even fewer fly's, after a few hours out can hardly tell i'd used the bike which was nice. Going to try & get a few more miles done before this years monsoon season (spring, summer & autumn) starts.
Got out for my first spin of the year this afternoon.......... but have a confession to make............. that I'm not sure i should admit to here. Wheeled the 999 out. Saw it gleaming in the sun (but still a chance of rain) and thought "sod that - I'll take the Aprillia" so I don't get my beutiful 999 dirty or salty. Still had a great run though. That Factory can rip up the miles too
Riding over to the Carole Nash classic bike show at Newark in the morning. 20 odd miles of twisty road, lots of lovely shiny bikes to drool over then a nice ride home. It's not every winter you get to do that in the dry is it?
And I've just waved off our visitors from last night Now I'm going to start to pack for next Saturday when I'm off to Morzine for a week
I grabbed the chance and went out yesterday, Saturday. Kicked the ar*e out of it and had a wonderful 125 miles of fun. Some of the roads were a bit slimey but a larger percentage were trustworthy dry. SO lovely to get out on the bike again. It was also nice to circulate some oil around the engine and give the cam belts a good warm and work out!
