Tuneboy cruise control

  1. Have any of you installed the tuneboy cruise control system on your bike?
    How is it?

  2. Yes, I use the "Cruise Control Only" system, of course without any other nudge buttons option. It works fine, with speed steps 1 by 1 km/h.

  3. Don't need it. There are no roads long enough nor straight enough in Scotland

  4. Are there roads in Scotland ?

  5. Do you have the heated grips on your MTS? If so, how is it working together with the cruise control, considering they both use the starter button..?

I'am realy interested in this kit! Cruise Control, ECU-tuning, quick shifter etc :upyeah:

  6. No, I dont't have heated grips (model Sport). But the combination is possible, handling is just slightly different. I should read again the manual.

  7. He's an extraction of the manuel's section explaining the use of Cruise Control if your bike is equiped with heated grips : TB.jpg

  8. I have recently installed the TuneBoy software on my MTS1200 S Touring and now the heated grips don't work, even though the screen message pops up regularly saying they are engaged.
I have emailed and emailed TuneBoy and have not had a response. Very poor customer service and I am going to take the matter to Consumer Affairs if they don't fix the matter or at minimum respond to my query.
Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be?

  9. I have the exact same issue with my '13 MTS1200 S Touring and Tuneboy (Tune + CC).. Did you get this sorted out yet?

  10. Sorry, don’t have heated grips. Can’t help you.

  11. Maybe the grips are faulty? I believe they are wired in series so if one goes open circuit they both stop working but you will still get the message on the dash telling you that they are on. You should check the continuity of the grips before condemning the Tuneboy.

  12. Whoa Derek! I'm not condemning anyone here.. I already took my bike to the Ducati dealer last Saturday to have them check the grips but I saw the original post on this issue and just wondered if it got resolved.. The Ducati service tech is saying the the ECU may need to be replaced based on his past experience. Hope at the most that they find that it's "just" the grips or the connections that have failed.

  13. Take it easy Jerry. I'm not saying you are condemning anybody. But before you can say that the Tuneboy, or the dash for that matter, may be faulty you have to ascertain there is no fault with the grips, wiring or connectors and I would expect that's what your tech would check first.

  14. OK.. You must have just been anticipating that I might condemn Tuneboy..

  15. I have the Tuneboy SW and heated grips - can’t see how TB could break anything -
Most likely that one of the flaky grips gave out ..
easy enough to flash back to stock if you want to - point to note is that the message says they are engaged when the grips have failed

  16. Dealer service tech says the grips need to be replaced.. on order
Will update here after they’re working

  17. Do you have the heated grips on your MTS? If so, how is it working together with the cruise control

I have heated grips and Tuneboy CC , both work extremely well together , use them all the time in conjunction and no problems .
