Up in Raasay the bins were standing strong at the weekend, which is more than could be said for my car...
I didn't... (although claps for the pun) We were sat inside eating soup (tomato) and a dude knocked on the door and asked if that was our car. Storm Caroline was raging around a force 12 at this point and a combination of the snow / ice / wind had allowed nature to move the car from its parking spot to a new and more jaunty one. In mitigation I could have also turned the wheels into full right-hand lock and left it in gear... stupidly was tired and just yanked the handbrake on and absconded.
As long as no one hurt and hopefully no damage - and for what it’s worth I woke Sunday morning to find a tree parked on the bonnet of a Lexus LC 500 the little lady had been loaned for the weekend - at 91k and less than 500 miles on the clock it wasn’t the best sight. Thankfully no damage other than nearly having a heart attack looking out of the window - pic just before the tree fell over
Agreed, bins make a sturdy ground anchor. I always attach my car to one in times of heavy storms. Schoolboy error there @Fire3500
