Hi everyone, new to the group and looking for honest advise. I’m in the process of getting a diavel carbon red as it’s my dream bike and i’ve got it down to 2 bikes. A standard 2016 model or a 2014 model with full termi exhaust for around the same price and mileage (less than 2k) so my question to you all is which would you go for and why? Tbh i’m leaning towards the termi exhaust as it’s such an expensive upgrade but I’m open to your insight Thanks in advance,
Welcome Tony, Once you've owned them for a few years, the age difference makes no difference to the residual value, it's all about the condition and history. If you really want the Termis and would have to pay to put them on the 2016 bike, I'd probably be tempted by the older one. There is the warranty to take into account too. Is the 2014 bike from a dealer? Would they put a warranty on it?
I had this with my old 848. Brand new standard or 1300 miles with termi and alarm... I sounded awesome riding away from the dealer
Funny enough it was the only aftermarket alarm I’ve had that actually worked I’d always lusted for an 848 and shook the guy’s hand when he wrote off my ninja. Picking up the 848 and hearing those termis was awesome but what made it even better was when I got round the corner from the dealer and a little boy was walking with his mum. The boy heard the bike and got so excited, started pointing and jumping with a massive grin. That made my day, I was the cool guy on the awesome sounding Ducati.

Too right. When it's parked up though, it's generally the older men who drool. Top Gear did a segment s few years ago where they parked a Ferrari on a high st. and held a puppy nearby. No women even glanced at the Ferrari but they were all over the puppy. Moral of the story is by all means get yourself a nice car or bike but don't expect it to be a 'bird-puller'. That's puppy territory...
