Take them off, or it'll look like a moose. You can't see out of the standard ones anyway....they shake like a dog shitting razor blades! So you might as well have at least good looks on your side if nowt else.

Did I read that Anth or El toro had fitted some "corse wing mirrors" or something? I seriously need to sort something for my 1098. I like to see if any suicide bombers are bearing down on me before I make an overtake move. My mate did one on me on the A59 as i was pulling out to overtake a line of cars, makes you nervous! Yes, i do a life saver but if someone is a hundred yard or so behind you, out of sight, and bearing down at a silly rate of knotts its easy to get it wrong! Spoilt my ride out to be honest, he didnt bother as he knew I was pulling out but it did give me a fright.

I must admit, the three times I have managed to get the Ducati out I have done a lot of Bumbling about lol! I am still trying to get my head around only having two pots! I also dont know which gear I should be in at 30mph when going through towns and villages, 1st seems to high revving and second feels like its about to stall on me lol.
I do behave myself where required :wink:. Amongst my friends there are two bike wing and one traffic bobby. I quite enjoy riding with them as i have gotten older and more sensible, i dont feel the need to be a clown as much!
Well Richie - have you decided to stick with or without the extenders? i am going to get some for mine - I am fed up of pulling out from the slip lane on a motorway and hoping, rather than knowing, there is nothing coming down the inside lane.
Have you tried the tuppence ha'penny blind spot mirrors? The extenders really aren't all that.:frown:
These are what I am looking for (or similar) Ducati OEM 1198 1098 848 Mirrors LEDS Gran Turismo-Pair Anyone know if they are available in the uk? Genuine Ducati OEM, why didn't they fit them in the first place!
Hmmm......they look like them macca but it says they are smaller than originals. I have emailed far.it for more info and if they have a UK distributor. They would benefit me two fold, firstly save me from being killed from behind and secondly they appear to fold in which would make my life easier with access.
Timberwolf, they are the Ducati performance parts and you are correct they are smaller as a mirror itself, I dont have them but a number of people do and say they vibrate far less, I am sure XxAnthxX has these. the sellers are Riders of Cardiff, they have three branches around here, they often sell on overstocked kit on ebay.
