Monster 900 Rear Axle Adjuster Plates

Discussion in 'Monster' started by Pablo Pirate, Nov 24, 2017.

  1. Howdo!

Has anyone changed the rear axle adjuster plates on a M900 or any old style Monster? Want to replace the poor old rust plates fitted to the bike.

Thanks in advance for any links or pics

    Cheers Pablo

  2. There are often some nice CNC anodised aluminium ones on ebay, I think from a seller in Germany.

  7. I got some from MVS performance in Germany; https://www.mvs-performance.de/ in anodised billet aluminium.

They have an ebay shop although the only ones I can see at the moment are Carbon Fibre; https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-r...djuster-carbon-plate-kit-silver-/252364369623

Edited to add, alloy ones here; https://www.mvs-performance.de/Chain-Tensioner-Covers-double-sided-swingarm-Monster-Aluminum-17-mm

  9. Just ordered myself some titanium grey side & end plates - approx. £125 for both delivered :)

To go with the SilMotor headers I've also got coming from Germany....

  12. I can't really imagine this is a suitable application for carbon fibre - it simply isn't strong enough to have bolts tightened onto it.

I like carbon as much as the next man and have lashings of it on my Ducatis but this is not really what it's good for IMO.

  13. Yes. Some bike parts especially on road bikes need to be strong first and look pretty second
