  1. Nice to see you back on your feet. Just take it easy otherwise you'll do more harm than good. Trust me on this.

  2. Aye. Backs are tricky things. The bike will still be there when you are better Terry. Tinker away but don't over do it for Pete's sake (who's?)

  3. eek! I just read all of this

GWS yoof - hope you and your bike mend well and look after yourself. Good luck with the racing when you're up and about again

Rich Llewellin is a top bloke and very good at patching up bikes wot people have unfortunately crashed

  5. yeah the back protectors are a real life saver, my friends that ride all have one now, after seeing the stat of me,,and i feel i was lucky, they see it just isn't worth the risk. i gave mine to a good friend whos a bit strapped for cash right now, i dont think il need it for a few days lol.

i hope your on the mend mate, back pain is horrendous, :/ i send my best wishes.,,,, was the wall okay?

  6. Aye. He's done my race bike once or twice

  7. It's for damping round corners.....

  8. Seriously?! What on earth would Nog have done? The blokes the nicest you'll meet :s

  9. Good that you're up and well Terry but seriously man you do need to start listening to the advice on here. If you'd listened in the first place and not chosen to let the red mist win you wouldn't be in a mess but hey, we all enjoy pushing the limits on our bikes so fair play. Now you're injured and your spine condition is quote "The brake is so called stable but there is a hair line crack going around to my spinal cords. If they don't operate il spend the next 8 weeks with a back and chest peace. With no guarantee of full repair. If I have Sergiry I run a high risk of spinal cord damage loosing feeling or motor functions" - WTF are you doing tinkering polishing or even looking at your bike?!

If you don't let your back heal and push it just a tiny bit too much by being impatient, you could be fooked for life. There is no second chance messing with spinal injuries so do as you're told for once and rest it and get better eh? At your age, there's a lot of life left to enjoy or a lot of life left for regrets, don't let your impatience ruin it for you. Oh and I have more titanium in my spine than on my bike so take it from someone who knows....

    GWS chap!

  14. Good morning and happy new year to you all :)

Unfortunately Santa didn't bring me 999 bits this year!! :(

sorry for my absence, I'm a gas engineer by trade and this time of year is less of a better word is f-in nuts Lol

not much to update really I Purchased my first bit for the duc the other week. Also I'm off the hospital Monday for my final X-rays just to make sure I'm ok to remove thus back brace one and for all!

On the parts front has anyone here got a garage full of 999 bits? If so I've just become your best friend :D

next question. Who's going to the TT this year?? Me and a few fellas are camping there again this year. I went last year and I was amazed how many ducs were there so I'm guessing there was a few from here going over with there bikes??

Hope you all had a good Christmas

  16. Hi Terry and welcome back! Hope the healing is all going well, and like the rest of us Santa wasn't too forthcoming with trick bits, but never mind! Happy New Year to you, and hopefully 2013 will be a much calmer year that 2012!

  17. Now peolpe this is a lesson for us all; no whinging and grumbling or letting a thing like a broken back get in the way of work or planning a camping trip to the TT!! Skin as thick as a rhino and sense of humor....awesome!

Louigi will have a shop full of bits (if you can bare going back lol) and maybe this could be an opportunity to improve the bike with better bits rather than back to stock.
