For the last year or so I've been nobbing about with audio on the go. I've tried a lot of earbuds but the vast majority catch on the lid and yank out... which gets old really fast when you've got your gloves etc. on. Finally seem to have struck gold though with these... ...they are a really slimline fit, and they have formable wire that you can hook over your ears to keep them in place. In the box is a plethora of earbud tips and I've gone for a sort of foamy one rather than a rubber one and the sound isolation is outstanding. As good as earplugs. The primary purpose is as a stage monitor for musicians, and I think they're cracking. They don't protrude beyond my ears, and I'm not some jug-eared loon... I don't think you can go wrong for the money, I paid less than £30 on Amazon and they came with Prime free delivery in 24hrs. Win. Anyone looking for similar could do worse.
Since I have got back into longer haul rides I like a bit of something to keep me engaged... 3 or 4 hours of middle-France / middle-Spain or any of Belgium's motorway network otherwise zones me out...
Can't say I approve It's all a bit dangerous isolating yourself from your immediate environment, especially when you are way down on the food chain so to speak. Try mental arithmetic to the V twins rhythmic base. Works for some.
I used to feel the same, however with the right mix of volume and ear protection you only lose the harmful frequencies without entering a complete bubble.
I just use ear plugs, no tunes, no sat nav voices, concentrate on the job of not getting dead. Its worked so far
