I think the Abba Skylifts are the best for working on / building bikes - here's mine being used in conjunction with my wheel alignment jig.
It's alright, I shook it violently, jumped up and down on the table and kicked the paddock stands a few times to make sure it was safe. It only fell off twice, so I was OK.
I got a foxhunter a couple of years ago - works well cost less than a lot of others in Bly thing I would change is buying the wider - the paddock stand only just fits on Streetfighter is up for sale if anyone want a shiny toy ! Gixer 750
Loving the floor tiles @Simon Audi The one thing I dislike about my garage is the painted floor, I think I'll go exactly the way you have with some softer matting / flooring next to the work benches. Top job.
You can get paddock stands on the Clarke lift, no problems. See my pics for the kind of clearance you can expect.
So, someone stumbles onto the left paddock stand - bike moves 2 or 3 inches, bike is on the floor - not good
Not sure I’ll measure in a hour or so when I get to workshop and let you know - I think it was the medium
You obviously havent felt the weight of a Clarke lift, then stick a 180kg bike atop. Geoff Capes couldn't move it.
