Clarke. Been using this for a couple of years now and cause the gaffer has sold up his race bikes, it’s mine, all mine! Can get both paddock stands on easy.
I only fitted tiles as the floor was so rough - it rained when they poured the floor - so the concrete was just chopped not polished. I did paint it but hated it - so tiled over - had to use PVA to bond the tile adhesive to the paint... Tiles are LETHAL when wet.....so while they look nice are dangerous on occasions.... If I did it over - I would still tile - but probably something with a grit finish to be better in the wet...
I bought an easyrizer, benefits are that you can change forks and wheels etc, I made up some slide in plates to drive on an use as a normal bench. There are various attachment, I got an email contact if you PM me.
Got one of the cheaper ones off eBay and I’ve used it for the last 3 Year’s without issues. Can even get an under yoke stand on it for removing forks. Wouldn’t be without it and quite a bit cheaper than others.
My son son made this for my xmas present, picked it up to day he even fitted it with an air assisted 8 ton ram. The ram was the most expensive item, new £50 off ebay. It's light, stable and easy to move around and will take front and rear paddock stands. Have to get off my backside now and exten the workshop, been toying with the idea for a year now.
Thought about building one but in the end I Bought the Sealey MT680 the 680 is the the KG it will lift + it has 2 x demount-able side plates for working on quad bikes / sidecar outfits etc. I have flushed the whole unit into the floor ... I know it was a bit of a mission but it was well worth it and takes up no floor space at all in the workshop I bought it from FFX online. its air hydraulic and manual great option if your knee's are gone!!
I've got a clarke lift, does the job nicely. I did have an oil leak at the lifting cylinder that stopped it working a couple of years back but I got a repair/seal kit from Machine Mart for not too much and all's well again. Worth shelling out the extra for the one with air lifting IMO as it saves a lot of faffing about pumping the foot pedal.
When on the ABBA site (The lifts, not the Swedish pop combo) today, I saw this. Whoever could it belong to?
