I must admit, I'm with your wife on the falling down bit. You could have just broken the wood over your knee, there isn't a single mitre joint in it. It appears to be made of roofing batons. And why would your wife need a tool chest in her utility room?
Offshore Thailand , drilling 8 1/2" hole 14 days of 28 done. Looking forward to getting back to some cold Scottish weather
like I said, I’m no joiner. If roofing batons can hold a roof then surely I’ll be fine. There is the occasional mitre on the cross braces under the shelves and L brackets everywhere else. I’ve climbed it and it’s going nowhere. As for the utility room business, I’ve sadly had to make concessions to allow the washer and dryer in the corner of MY GARAGE. She wants to go whole hog and store the ironing board, iron, mower, leaf blower etc. I’ve told her the garden stuff will be going in a shed and the ironing board will go upstairs (iron where you put the clothes away). I’m going to embark on a floating corner worktop at some point. I’m thinking balsa and some PVA?
Sea food splatter, couple of glasses of Ashridge Viognier(2011) and a glass of Yamazaki. Bed before midnight and out for the early morning Fresh air!
Not wanting to put a dampener on your fine work, but can you get the washing machine out, given the proximity of the radiator? I only ask I as ive come across this sort of thing before!
