  1. It isn't more of a risk is it. Lol just another ploy they can use to ask for more money.

  2. When I questioned my insurance as to why my 1299 was cheaper to insure than my 899 they said it’s because the 1299 has more safety features plus its to do with the models history and how many get shunted or stolen etc...

The safety features thing made me laugh though. Because naturally the 200 odd horse power it has compared to the 150 of the 899’s makes it far less likely to crash, but don’t worry it has cornering abs :joy:

  3. I had a police van hit the mirror of my van, cracked my mirror,no damage to his van.didnt claim as it was too much hassle, but because he had to report the incident,it put my premiums up on my van,car and bikes.legalised robbery

  4. Just had a quote to renew my 959 from Ducati insurance. About £100 more than the cheapest quote but are they a good outfit? i tried a quote from them for my 1098s but they were loads higher than other companies. If they are good it would be worth the extra £100. With Bennetts at the moment and they have been rubbish when trying to claim.

    Regards Steve

  5. biking for 27/28 years clean licence / truck loads of no claim bonus I tried to get a multi bike insurance with ducati for three bikes but they did not come back to me for quote!? so insurance is a lottery!

  6. Very true, I bloody detest insurance companies and dread dealing with them at renewal time for any policy as I know I'm always going to have to put leg work in to get a new policy either with the current company at a reduced price from their renewal quote or the hassle of getting new quotes in and switching...

Unfortunately one of lifes necessities that we all have to deal with though. It just boils my piss dealing with the robbing b*****ds :mad::mad:

  8. Get it off you chest nice rant,So are insurance companies up there with Estate Agents?

  9. Absolutely, funilly enough though... Last time we moved we used an estate agent that was just branching out in to our area, did us a great deal on a fixed fee and worked their bloody socks off from start to finish which made a refreshing change...

Never had an experience like that with the robbing B*****ds that were forced to do business with if we want to own our homes and vehicles...

  10. its all about the end game, getting there in one piece and having fun and dont let the bastards grind you down!,Cheers
