  1. Most obviously the 996 GT3. If you picked up a 996 GT3 five years ago for £30k you'll be laughing now selling it for £60k or more. There was one for sale next to my 997 at the dealers for £70k with 40k miles on the clock! It had the original £39995 receipt in the paperwork!

  2. The body shop guy by my old house bought 2 GT3 RS’s when nobody really wanted them. One was something silly like £25k, I think the other was less than £50k. He sold the cheaper one for a tidy profit and the other is sat as a little nest egg.

  3. Wow they will be worth a fortune.

  4. He seems to think about a quarter of a million for the one he still has. I honestly don’t know the market well enough, but as he runs a Porsche authorized repair center, he probably has a better idea than me!

  9. Crazy, I'm no expert but it sounds about right for a GT3RS if things continue as they are. Even if not then he is looking at an easy £150-200k plus at least I reckon.

It was a fantastic car and as you can probably tell , a whole pleasurable day could pass waxing and cleaning. Just loved it's curved / wide hips :)
This sounds a bit daft , but unfortunately the car did everything too well. Once I got used to the pretty much lag free turbo kick , the lack of noise drama from the turbo and it's planted handling it became a bit bland. You had to be doing into 3 figures on the speedo to enjoy it ( and drive for less than an hour before my leg went dead :grinning: ) . Hence selling it before it helped me lose my license.
Could still look at photos of them all day though :yum

  16. As someone who knows next to nothing about Porsche's what does an S model get you over a non S? Saw a Turbo S yesterday out and about.

  17. That is the “S” from Sexy.
The S is a higher spec.
Has more Bhp and better parts on it most of the time some better seats, standard ceramic brakes,...
And the last turbo S has centerlock for the wheels where the normal turbo has normal wheel bolts.

    Henk!!!

  20. Turbos and superchargers are for the timid. Rockets and LOx are where it's at.
