Can't compete with the OPs list but here goes, dating back to me yoof, when two wheels were all I could afford Yamaha FSIE-DX (1977) - kindly written off by a myopic muppet Yamaha DT175 (1979) - died a natural death Yamaha YB100 (1980) - FSIE wolf in sheeps clothing & terrible to ride Yamaha RD400 (1984)- loved the Castrol R smells it made! Bit of a break from two wheels...... Kawasaki ZX7R (1996) - a real porker but very planted front end, crap build quality though Ducati 748SPS (1998) - absolutely loved this bike and still very much regret selling it Ducati 998S Monoposto (2002) - stolen after nine weeks of ownership whilst in Italy at WDW2002 Ducati 998S Biposto (2002) - replacement bike, heavier and lacked the refinements of the previous ill fated bike Ducati 999S (2004) - loud and dollops of torque, best 2 up bike handling, missus never complained! Ducati 999S (2005) - updated version, better fairing, stockier swingarm and red frame, much to like Ducati S4RS (2006) - one and only foray into naked big bikes, real hooligan character, uncomfortable at high speeds though due to lack of fairing protection Ducati 1098S (2007) - sold to a friend, an age spent customising it - immaculate condition Ducati 1199S (2014) - two years made up of a ridiculous amount of man hours, effort and hard earned spent on it, never to be seen again Ducati 1299S (2016) - current bike, much as for the 1199, yet more refined and a shed load of mods done to it, a bit of a monstrous money pit TBH ...............V4S.......potentially....all depends on my impending job situation!!
Here goes... Honda ss50 (with 72cc top end...ahem) ground the raised 72cc off of the barrel and sprayed black! Kawasaki kh125 'L' machine to get test Kawasaki z550 sounded great with full Yoshi 4into1 system. Bit of a tank in reality Suzuki gsx1100f 16'' front wheel, stonking engine, stinking handling Honda vfr750 notchy gearbox and always hitting rev limiter. Puzzled at the high esteem they were held in.. Yamaha fzr600 genesis waved and weaved! more noise than real go but felt 'nicely balanced' Yamaha fzr1000 genesis warp factor 10..., used to run massively wide if trying to party on the corners, world went backwards with full open throttle Yamaha fzr600r nearly seized the motor at Croft..bit bland and cant remember anything about it Honda vfr400 the bike I should have bought 1st, great for learning how to corner, short tank range but by the time it needed fuel your body needed a break Suzuki gsxr750srad fuel injected, last year made, awesome, little twitchy with fast empty tank when playing Yamaha r6 very twitchy and needed revvvvssss Yamaha r1 100mph in 1st, tried to high side me twice, whole mountain pass in France in 1st gear Happy 12k and a bit of a looker imo (06 bike) Yamaha Fz1s Mr do it all with just a bit money spent, did 22k and only sold due to cashflow. Standard rear shock lacks damping, standard forks a bit harsh for road use. Capable bikes Kawasaki zxr636 ex track bike, took in part ex against fazer, handled a dream, quick Suzuki gsxr1000 k7 flat bar converted, quick, comfy, lots of buffeting at speed though Ducati mts1200 sold after 2 1/2 year and 15k...before it fell apart or corroded anymore. Would have loved to fit full system, quality rear shock etc...see previous comment lol BMW s1r mucho quickness and best handling bike owned (on smooth roads), electronic suspension has a certain amount of manual fine tuning to set up sag etc BMW r1200gs 14plate for touring with Mrs jbiker KTM1290gt wanted more go and quickshifter. Didnt like bumpy roads at speed, and rather uncomfortable tbh Alarming number of false neutrals when thrashed BMW r1200gs Rallye sport (te) tbh, 2016+ have superb gearboxes, great quickshifter, sorted bikes

Revered into (while parked) by a lorry at work and written off Yam SR125 - I crashed it twice Married and banned by wife for 20 years, then eventually she relented: Suz Marauder 125 Hon VFR 750F-S Yam Fazer 1000 Gen 1 (Ivanized) BMW R1200RT - awesome, shouldn't handle like it does, some regret about ever trading it Multi 1200S Touring - caught fire while I was riding it and Ducati UK replaced it (after a lot of hassle with the dealer) Multi 1200S Skyhook - traded before warranty ran out after a few minor problems KTM 1290 Super Adventure - awesome but a little heavy Next up: Either Kwak H2SX or KTM 1290-S or R1200RT (in its next reincarnation) - haven't decided yet Really wish they'd stick the K1300S engine in the RT

pfff endless list of 50 cc, such as multiple vespa ciao, puch, tomos, zundapp ks 50 watercooled, Yamaha fs, Honda mt 5, Suzuki er, kreidler, Honda mb 5, 80 cc, Honda mt 8 125cc Honda mtx125, countless very old dirtbikes, trashed already at purchase, dead a few months later Honda 600 xl paris Dakar. Yamaha fz 750 Honda vfr 750 Honda cbr 1000, very long break, having 3 , one horse power four feeters, ( also known as horses, if you want another very expensive hobby, lol) new model Honda Africa twin. ( DCT ) Ducati 848 streetfighter. And we still have the Yamaha mt 125 and the Honda inova 125. so considering some lists, its really not that much lol, so should buy a few more!
A mate I work with has 3 horses, nearly fell off my chair when he told me they cost 1200+ quid a month to run!!
depending on circumstances, like keeping at home or in livery, just for a recreational hack or full on competition and most importantly being lucky or not with their health, it varies between just very expensive or astronomical per month yes, but when it is your thing it is very much a way of life, very addictive and very satisfying, through back injury I can't ride anymore( not at speed anyway ) otherwise I would still be an active horse rider, for anyone of you thinking of learning to ride a horse, just do it, and when mastered and good enough, go a few weeks to Iceland, to ride some icelandics, and you will be converted forever!
