V4 Bst Wheels Swap

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Mary Hinge, Jan 4, 2018.

  1. Hey fella's,

I'm currently running a 1098R track bike with BST carbon fibre wheels. I'm pretty sure the rear will slot straight onto the V4. And I'm 80% sure the front will also fit with perhaps a 5mm spacer.

    Can anyone confirm? Cheers, Paul.

  2. The dealer?

  3. Well, I'm a lazy bastard you see. And I can't be arsed contacting the dealer and rather hoped someone on here could tell me. You'll be wanting me to read a manual next.....

  4. Well seeing as no one has a V4 yet, then I'd be utterly amazed if anyone knew.

  5. wheels from a 1098 1198 fit a pani with different spacers so i dont see the v4 pani being any different

  6. Will your BST rear wheel take a 200/60 tyre ? That’s quite a big jump from 190/55. If I have understood all the preamble, I think the front wheel spacing is the same as the 1299 Panigale and I’m sure someone on here fitted 1098/1198 wheels to a Panigale and had to make up front spindle spacers. I’m also sure 1098R discs have 15mm offset so you might need new discs. Andy

  7. Yeah it'll be fine

Obviously a wild guess, but let's face it, what's the worse than can happen

  9. There's only limited parts info available as of yet, so doubtful your dealer can tell you either. Give a week or so and I can check again, but at worst, wait and try them first.

  11. Been making them years. Keep up lad....

  12. Rear would go straight on
Front would need disc spacers and different axle spacers.
If the same as 1098 to 1*99

  13. I’ll give you £500 for your wheels Paul

  14. You're too kind Rob. If they don't fit (which I think they will) they'll stay on the 1098. Get some for the 899. Paint em pink :p

  15. I’ve got too much shit to buy! A new exhaust for the 1299 is taking priority... I think

  16. Anyone making these spacer kits for sensible money yet?

  17. I know you have.... Like a flight ticket to Iraq. It's that time again..... mwu ha ha haaaah.... Outa here Tuesday then Dubai for a piss up, err.. meeting I mean. Home the week after. Get in! Wind, rain, bring it on!
Lovin' that zorst for yours from US. You getting one?

  18. I’m away on Wednesday mate. Aye the one from the US is leading the way at the minute, still quite like the Austin Racing exhaust too. On;y thing putting me off is how the belly pan will look with an under seat exhaust.

  19. Careful you don't get dicked with US import tax. Call the makers and sort that out before they ship. Mixed reviews on AR. Have a good trip lad, I'll wave a hanky as we pass one another :p

  20. Aye, that’s another thing. Been caught out like that before but I’ve got a mate in the US I can get stuff delivered to and sent out to me.

Enjoy your break mate, I’m only away 3 weeks and then off to Andalucia!
