So I'm mailing the seller of this bike and it's on the IOW at some 'by appointment only' virtual showroom www.ducatiworx.com which has a very sketchy website with a mobile number and not much else. He's asking for a 5k deposit to take it off sale at the starting price and if I call the number on the website they'll arrange to wing it over to Geneva for me. I've told him my daughter lives near Portsmouth so I can easily fly over and then take the boat for an inspection but he's overlooking this. The guy has virtually zero feedback as a seller and only then for low ticket items. As some of you may know I've been trying to buy a 1098R for a while now (amongst others) but I have only previously bought my bikes from Ducati concessionaires and as such, have no experience of the secondary market. Advice please, particularly from anyone on the IOW and/or may have had experience of Ducatiworx! Thanks in anticipation, Joe

Looks like it’s based on the LE which was an architypal British 2-stroke. Couldn’t pull the skin off a rice pudding and smoked ..... a lot. Andy
