Yep the BMW is electronically limited but the Panigales are not limited so it's up to you. It was mind numbingly boring riding the BMW for the first 600 miles as it not only had the rev limit but also they would not put the track dongle on that removes all the electronics until after the 600 miles as well. I was ready to sell it (and accidently bought the Pani R in anticipation of having the spare cash!) but once the track dongle was fitted and I could turn the electronics down it was a transformed machine.
Your going to get a face plant for that . To tighten the chain, you adjust the eccentric clockwise looking at the bike from the left side which is the opposite to the 1299. Andy
He is correct in so much as it depends whether the axle is at the top of the eccentric or the bottom but i would assume all bikes have a recommendation from the manufacturer. The distance between top and bottom would make a fair difference to the rear height.
I thought that was the job of the little dog one adjuster. Although that is slightly flawed because although you might maintain ride height, the wheelbase is lengthening/shortening. I can only imagine the headaches this gives the WSBK team...
