Considering a set as a base to paint/customize. http://www.ricambiweiss.com/VERKLEI...INGVERKLEIDUNG-DUCATI-899--1199-PANIGALE.html
Nearly every track fairing is the 899/1199 one. Very similar to 1299/959, but doesn’t have the little wings next to the seat cowl (more like the 848/1098 cowl shape). The mounts on the 899/1199 tail are possibly different to the 1299 one, but I haven’t had an 899/1199. I think @royalwithcream would know. Regarding their fairings, they were decent enough and are normally a good price. The best fairings I ever got were from CRC.
Can’t be any worse than CRC which cost more but are worth less. The set I bought for the 1098R required professional fettling and even then the 2 part seat fairing didn’t fit and I had to use the OEM seat under tray. Andy
1299 tail is different (and a lot nicer in my opinion). I think the differences in the stock fairing sets are in the separate hard plastic module that houses the diagnostics connector that the tail sections bolt into. The rear subframe itself is probably the same but I've never thought to compare them.
Ricambi Weiss only list a 1299 seat fairing, hence the question. Not bothered about the shape, just need to be sure it'll fit my sub-frame. Heard mixed reports re CRC.
Maybe worth looking at the exploded parts manuals on the website to compare the two models? http://www.ricambiweiss.com/SEAT-UNIT/DUCATI-43/DR35-HOeCKER-DUCATI-848-1098-1198-1524.html It's difficult to see if the upper two holes are being used for bolts but the ones underneath look the same as on the 1199.
I bought some of there fairings last year for a 2014 675 I was building. unfortunately I wasn't very impressed. Had to drill and drag holes all over the shop and the fit and finish was quite poor. Others may have had different experiences with them. But thats my view
