  1. Hi
I have a 2016 year MTS which came with the hard panniers. Any advice on suitable inner cases?
    Thanks

  2. Ducati do a set of liners for the 2015 on DVT panniers - they're about £135 though.

I've got a set purchased this summer and used just once that I'm intending to put on the for sale section if you're interested.

  3. yes definitely interested. How much?

  4. I've sent you a pm

  5. The old ones fit fine , you don't have to spend a fortune

  6. I'm looking for a set for my 2016 DVT. Am I right in thinking that they are all the same, whatever year?

  7. Hi

The earlier ones won't fit the DVT properly. There are lots of cheapish aftermarket bags which will sort of fit, but once you look at the proper Ducati ones you'll see why they're expensive. You can pack a lot more in them than you think and they still fit really easily into the pannier. I resisted for a while, but now I have them I think they're worth splashing out for.

  9. I use a set of Ducati pannier liners I brought for my 2010 bike on my DVT bike. These liners have a zip out section which let them expand to suit the larger size of panniers which were available for the 2010-2014 models. I've also used them fully expanded and take care not to over fill them, they fit OK in to the panniers on the DVT models. I purchased a set of Ducati pannier liners for my DVT bike which fitted the shape better but didn't fill the full depth of the panniers. The new style of liners also attempted to fill the recess at the top of the right hand pannier (not very successfully) which wouldn't have allowed me to use a storage bag Velcro'ed into this void for my "touring tool kit". I ended up selling the DVT pannier liners.

  10. So in your view they are not worth buying?

  11. I must admit I have tended to use heavy standard black bin bags on more than one occasion on lighter weather days or my old ortlieb camping 30L panniers on long/mixed weather, had them for years. https://www.rutlandcycling.com/ortlieb

Buy what you want, see if it works for you and if it does, result, if it doesn't I'm sure someone will buy them off you

  12. I think it's worth having pannier liners, especially if using hotels or B&Bs as it's fast and easy to unload and they don't look to out of place walking into reception, compared with black bin bags :) Maybe not so useful if camping.

    There are two different pannier liners: 2010-2014 [96791210B] & DVT 2015-2017 [96780521A]

If you've got a set for 2010-14 panniers they will "more or less" fit in the DVT panniers. As I say, I prefer the 2010-14 liners in DVT panniers. Have a look at the photos the For Sale thread.

    Hope that helps,
    Steve

  13. Thanks guys, you've all been very helpful.

  14. Hi,I bought some non genuine pannier bags off eBay,they fit bothDVT and older, well made, and expandable for a snip of the price of the real thing, they only get used for a few days a year and do the job well! Try ' multistrada panniers' and see how you get on!

  15. Sounds good. There are several on ebay, can you recall which one?

  16. Just looked on eBay £44ish look like ones I've bought.....

  17. Bought them anyone. Like you say Box boy, if you only use them a couple of times a year, why pay more.

  18. Similar, the ones I bought £44.72 from Germany pic shows bags on their own with red piping

  19. Right. They look similar apart from the piping. I'll let you know the fit and function when I get them.
