Done a search and no definitive answer. Are brembo m4 calipers a straight fit and do they fix the braking feel of the bike?
@ginge46 has them on his 899, if you want good brake feel bypass the abs,a simple pad change will help a little.
I've got sbs pads in already. It was your picture i saw with m4 calipers on. So you tgink it's abs robbing the strength not the calipers?
Yep - put them on there was well...no need to sell them any time soon but sometime would be nice...would go towards the m50's...
It's well known that it's all the abs system that robs the bike of brake feel , I was one of the early owners of the 899 and explored changing the brakes but at the time was advised not to change the calipers because it would effect the abs, time has moved on and it now seems common to swap out the calipers and mcyl,I cannot comment on the improvements as I have not rode a bike with any thing other than standard with sbs pads, when I get a 899 track bike I will run m50 with 330mm discs and no abs.
I had an rcs master cylinder but sold it. Doesn't fit with standard switch gear. And the aftermarket stuff is ridiculously priced.
Biggest improvement on my 959 was to change to the Brembo SC pads and never have the ABSany higher than setting 1.
