  3. Wonderful to see some lairy 2 strokes in there from my era!! Those Garellis were fast!! Loved my S1C - beautiful looking bike! Feeling all nostalgic now :worried:

  4. I'm sure my Garelli would do 65mph on good day - downhill, tailwind and Gola's on the pillion pegs!

S1C was good but the best of my lot was the RD350B - great bike to ride - remember touring South West France on it along with a mate on his S3 400 (which needed re-fueling every 75 miles...) - Racing French yooofs on their XT500's along the sea front at Royan - Great days!

  5. Always had trouble staying withe the Garelli guys on my Malaguti (clip-ons, twin exhausts etc.... on a 'ped!!)

Yes, I loved my RD350 B too - good on petrol too as I recall.
Imagine the disappointment when I returned to 2 strokes after years on 4 strokes, when I bought an RG500 - just not very good - not sure why they go for stupid money these days!

  6. Nostalgia.

80's youth + Memories + Kids left home + Disposable income + Mid life crisis + Rarity of the bike = Strong prices. :upyeah:

I sold a full RD350LC years ago, for what I saw a set of clocks for the same bike go for recently. o_O
