Hi guys , I know it my seem a daft question but would my 959 benefit from an ecu tune.. ive had the akro evo full system fitted from new and everything else is standard and only use bike on the road... i.e.. what could i have done , and would an average rider like myself notice ???
If it’s got a full system it will certainly need a remap Did you not get the uap key? You could remap it on a dyno or send your ecubaway and get a rexxer reflash or fit a rapidbike module
Hi , Yes it had a map with the full system and fitted at dealer. But ive been told i could get it remapped to get the bike to its full potential.. its seems to run well already.. maybe a slight flat spot at 5k ..but im wondering if that would make a big noticable difference to me to be worth it ??
My last 959 had a Rexxer map and it was noticeably better to ride. However, you would need to tell your dealer because any software updates at services would wipe it, so you would have to tell them not to update the software.
I put a rapidbike evo in over the winter. Not ridden the bike yet though. It constantly auto tuned itself to the optimum AFR
I did it myself it wasn’t that bad. Lower and mid fairing off an basically plug a new harness in and mount the box somewhere. Instructions are pretty vague but lots online to help Also the box is interchangeable between bikes so if you change your bike all you need is a new harmess and upload the relevant base map from their database
@flatstick959 I would be interested in your feedback on the Rapidbike module as I am thinking about this as my next step with my bike. I have done the usual ECU flash and Power commander in the past, but I like the idea of the auto tune function
