  1. To me, the size of the font on either side of the nose cone is a dead giveaway of an undesirable previous owner. He may as well have written it in comic sans.

  2. Not sure mate. ducati-1198R.jpg

  3. Oh, yeah. I guess. It just looks incongruously massive to me somehow. My apologies to the owner.

I stand by my hatred of comic sans tho.

  4. Would need a frame number check with Sofia. If it was a R......

  5. If it was an R, it would be 1 of a very small number registered in the UK and be worth a lot more than £14k. The wheels look 1098R not 1198 so IMO it has been made to look like something it is not. Andy

Edit : Still a very nice looking bike though

  6. Would it be registered as an S but be something else? Does stuff like that happen?

  7. I've asked for the frame number, let's see what Sofia says......

Bet it is a1198s with a spray job. Nice tank though.

  8. Who is Sofia?

  9. Works at Ducati Italy and can confirm the bike model from the frame number. @Exige has been issued with a restraining order.

  10. Wheels do look wrong.

  11. I have just realised that the DVLA record might be shortened to get it into a box so I’ve been trying to do some comparisons with pictures on t’internet and the whole nose cone looks odd not just the 1198R graphic, something is just not right for me. Andy

  12. Also, the bit behind the seat pad is black, should be red on the R?
Can't see from the pics if its a passenger seat cowl or paint/vinyl etc. Thought the Carbon R seat unit didn't have a passenger seat?

    1198Rs do look amazing though!

  13. Aftermarket nose fairing?
