1. I couldn't think of better to be honest, better than most I've had as neighbours 2. True, but I'd rather have that than some stuck up Margot from 'The Good Life'. 3. Important to have one of those as they prevent you from wheeling your bike over them, without fabricating evidence.
Good and bad of course but my ideal neighbour doesn't have a few scrap cars in pieces surrounding by assorted other junk
Of course it is, just google for a UK proxy, your IP will appear as though you were in the UK, not in Oz. It's not a difficult work around to sort, if you can fix simple things on a bike, you can certainly set up a proxy.
Didn't know you could do this sort of thing. Is this the sort of thing you need Roy?: UK Proxy Server
Yes, but do shop around if they are going to charge you a big fee, the free ones are too slow I've never had any success. When working in China this was the only way I could keep sane, there's no English TV. My Mandarin can't keep up with their speed and the dialects do change a bit.
Totally understand about the keeping sane bit. When I was working in Holland in the 80's one of the few programes available in English at the time was Gardeners world, and I used to watch it mainly for the therapeutic value of listening to my mother tongue. Nothing against the Dutch; in fact I went to a language school and became reasonably proficient, but it is a harsh sounding language, and it's so blissful to hear BBC English washing over you after a hard day of hearing cloggie!
Thanks for the heads-up - brilliant! Can't wait for the next episode. favourite quote; "hearts going like a stolen moped"
Fantastic programme! Did anyone else have a lump in their throats when the guy was talking about the ashes on the bike?
How bad would your stomache havevto be to spend 3 1/2 years building it, ship everything out there and do one run?! rest biking spirit at its most old fashioned and probably best
