  8. Today I have started some preparation work in the garden... Just clearing up today and getting rid of shite that the previous owners bodged together and neglected in their pursuit for a Mediterranean themed patio area... I'm glad the fellas obsession for wooden monstrosities never made it indoors! Since moving in two years ago, I've gathered a pile of reclaimed wood in the orchard bit of the garden thats more than adequate to start my own wood yard!

Already starting to wish i'd not started this job and we have 9 tonnes of new gravel getting delivered on the 29th to finish the garden path and patio area off so the pressure is on to get it all sorted and ready now

  9. Shocking Motown weather here today.................Three degrees..................Four, tops.

  19. I went to Italia for a New Year chinwag during a bit of work-downtime and to give the MHR a fond pat, make arrangements for Superlight coming home and came back with a box of bits to clean up and make sense of...

Standard 999 number plate hanger before...

    ...and after...

I'll need to blast and paint the reflector mount, and find a reflector for it. Also kind of considering leaving off the X piece and just mounting a dinky plate direct onto the bracket like I did with my 749s. The final pieces of recreating my 749s as a 999s will be Ducati Performance mirrors and a standard seat... watch this space. It's coming along though :)

    Almost there... ;)

I brought home an assortment of pipes, I am very excited to have some standard cans for the 750... cannot say how much. Not going to fit them though, mind. Might damage them... ;)

    Pipes.jpg

Plan was to put the standard Superlight pipes on the 900ss but I don't think that's going to happen. the exhaust on the 900ss is a "modified" 851 spaghetti system and fouls the footrest on the RH side. The high-level Superlight pipes I'd hoped would fix that... don't.

So... next up is the hunt for some rearsets for the 900ss... recommendations please (it's a 1992 bike).

There's a smoked (dark) screen for the Superlight that I will never use as the original is now back on. Anyone want a bit of 90's tat? :)

Boilerjuice or Fuelfighter, they're my go-to (Boilerjuice can be rubbish from time to time too).
