Just put up on MotoGP.com, due to ongoing recovery from the illness diagnosed last year, Jonas has decided not to race this season. Herve has clearly been blindsided by the decision and now has to figure who to get as a replacement rider. Andy
I can't do it. I was told I was too fast and it wasn't fair. I even offered to ride a honda cb125 but they said that my advantage would still be too great.
So who are you thinking...Be great to see Lowes or Redding or Kent have a go. But not sure they deserve the seat tbh (well, maybe Kent).
Was talking this through with Carole over a curry and the only name that doesn’t have a ride in any series is Loris Baz. Now that’s out of left field ! Andy
I'm often rat arsed during and after curry....however we (me and our deb) shared a nice meal manufactured by Indians in total sobriety and came to the joint decision that indeed we jointly think Ronald McDonald should ride the thing.... only concern is the gear change....other than a ridiculously big hoof he is an absolute clown when it comes to riding a motorcycle.
shame morbidelli is on the vds... He'd be a good fit maybe... Romano fenati? Alot of a gamble but there is 3 tests to go...
Absolute disaster for Folger a year out at this level is going to be very difficult to recover from especially if Herve finds someone who can match his results. I just hope he chooses an up and coming rider and doesn't go for an older, safer bet.
That might depend on whether Herve thinks he’s keeping the seat warm for Folger to return in due course, or he’s looking for a new start who will have a longer term future with his team.
Herve has said he wants a moto2 rider and is unwilling to poach riders whom are in a contract, unless that rider can show they’ve lined up a replacement rider for their current team.
