Car driver is a complete dick IMO. If he'd just tutted and let them go bikes would have been long gone and there'd have been no hassle. Passenger was scared, bikes must have felt intimidated and all the other poor road users were likely spooked too. Bikes were filtering dangerously, Audi driver increased the risk of an incident by an order of magnitude. Not only this, but BING??!! Audi drivers...
bikes didn't seem to scared... I would be with a car right up my arse at any speed let alone warp. I, on occasion, ride a bit faster than I should but I do spare a thought for the car drivers I'm passing re the spook factor. drivers can react unusually when a bike or car flys past, when 2 or 3 do it from different angles it's only a matter of time...
the kit of the chap on the zx10 didn't seem to lend itself to the speeds either... That said youd be unlikely to survive a spill at those speeds in traffic no matter what ya wearing... Darwin theory eh?
Scary stuff to a more sedate rider/driver of less exotic machinery like myself. Let’s face it, all 3 were at fault. I agree the Audi driver was probably a bit worse than the bike riders with some of his manoeuvres, and how close he was to the back wheel of the bikes, although of course we can’t see how close the second bike was to the back of the Audi at times. I also think the Audi driver has more to answer for: The two bike riders made their own choice about their own safety, but with a disregard for the safety of the other road users. The Audi drivers passenger was obviously given no choice whatsoever, and protested, but was still put through it. Nasher.
