My Missus, in her wisdom , packed away my brand new Dainese Goretex Textile gear in one of those vacuum bags ( to keep it from getting mouldy ) .And after removing them , both the jacket and trousers are creased to buggery. Any suggestions how to get creases out without having to wash them ? Was thinking possible bung them into the tumble drier for a quick 5 or 10 mins. But not familiar with goretex reacting to tumble drying heat Sensible suggestions much appreciated Cheers
Gortex have a customer service department I’d suggest asking them over this lot https://www.gore-tex.co.uk/support/washing-instructions Or get your wife to call them Or pack away your own stuff next time
Google is your friend. https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/How+to+Iron+a+Waterproof+Jacket/24191 http://www.the-house.com/portal/care-of-gore-tex-jackets/
A google search for 'can I iron gore-tex' yielded the following from Gore-tex themselves: https://www.gore-tex.com/support/restoring-water-repellency Once it is dry, tumble dry your garment for 20 minutes to reactivate the durable water-repellent (DWR) treatment on the outer fabric. If unable to tumble dry, iron the dry garment on gentle setting (warm, no steam) by placing a towel or cloth between the garment and the iron.
So can’t even ask a normal question now ?????? Believe you and me I have a hell of a lot more than this going on at the moment So basically stfu ok You’re not smart and definitely not funny
You need to chill out fella. I have plenty of first world problems of my own: this site is full of them. And I am quite funny. Occasionally
Mine gets folded away in a box in the garage. I just put it on and ride, any creases are gone in no time. I don’t iron my socks either
