  2. Wow....just wow !! Hope this is true ??

  3. It’s a rendering from one of the many design houses that have been photoshopping the V4 and picked up by some vlogger so don’t get your hopes up. Andy

  4. Yeah I know, but you never know if some Ducati design bloke might read this, and think......... :upyeah:

  5. Question is...could it be as ugly as a Streetfighter??

  7. Given the amount of registered versions of their previous streetfighter, they’ll probably think “why bother”.

They’ve got the monster or the hyper for that kind of thing.

  8. Moi??? No!!

  9. V4 monster though ?? Hmm ??

  10. Seem to remember similar images cropping up when the Panigale twin was first launched. Mind you Domenicali has said that the engine will be used in other models !

  12. When did he say it would be used in other models Steve, I've not see that? The mind does boggle at the thought....

  14. I think it's entirely possible there'll be a sleeved down version on offer once the 959 disappears. It's the natural order of things and typical behaviour from Ducati. We've seen it before. Expect it will be:

Base, S and Speciale released early 2018
R version follows suit later this year
Smaller version of the V4 announced at EICMA 2018 for 2019. Conventional swingarm and a few more budget parts added.
959 FE edition goes on sale 2019 in limited numbers, as production is wound down for the V-twin superbike.

  15. Just off to get my copy. It will also be in all the major publications due out this month. Bike magazine and Fast Bikes wil be running a full feature on it, as will all the European mags, such as Moto.it and Motociclismo, to name but a few.

  16. I’ll wait for the shootout write up that was mentioned in one of the early vlogs from Valencia that’ll appear in a couple of months. Andy

  17. V4 would be pretty awesome in a multi, for smooth touring. I just love a twin though. Proper character.

  18. I'd have thought they will keep using the twin on the smaller bike as there's less need to progress to anything more complicated?

  19. Bound to be a performance Streetfighter version. Ducati have been missing in that part of the market for a few years now. I struggle to see how a smaller capacity V4 Panigale will be financially viable though.
