Reply from Jem Speed Shop on 22/11/17 Im sorry to hear about your experience John. We have recently changed our management and are working hard to make sure nothing like this happened again and to make sure our customer service is much better. Thanks Jem Speed Shop Oh , looks like they need more new management yet again then - as if. If you own a bike shop / café / beardy hipster hang out you are the management
Reply from Jem Speed Shop on 22/11/17 Hi Geoff. Sorry to read about your experience. We have recently changed management and we are striving to improve our customer service. I apologise with you not being happy with the condition of the bike. We have recently hired 2 professional Valeters in order to make sure all our bikes are as good as we can get them and we have outsourced our MOT's to make sure that our bikes are checked by an outside set of eyes as well as our mechanics. Thanks Jem Speed Shop So some questions: They did their own MOT's - they are a test centre? If so they now out source their bikes for MOT's, really? Their mechanics are not capable of checking for the simplest of things like a worn back tyre? 2 professional valeters, really - that quite a response to a customer service complaint
New Management doing well - report from 8 days ago... ******BIKE BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!! By Jaspn W on 16 January | PURCHASE NOT VERIFIED Absolute rubbish!!!!! Shoddy customer servive, poor bikes and over priced. Refused to give deposit back had to force refund, make sure deposit is oayed through credit card
Any more reviews like that and Jem scam shop will have to change management again, are they part of the Elitesuperbike / king exotic group
Nope, this is the one I was trying to buy a couple of weeks ago that I have already written about a few pages back. The seller was extremely keen to take my deposit via card and end the previous listing at £12k until I booked a flight to go and see it at which point the listing ended with the bike seemingly sold to someone else at exactly the same price! I didn't know it had been relisted and sold again, at a slightly lower price. If I had known I definitely would have payed that over the phone deposit and then subsequently flown to see it after my deposit had cleared. I could have saved myself £500 too! Oh well, maybe it'll reappear at £11k and I can save even more. Let me know if you see it anyone, I'll get my card ready!
I've never had a problem buying at a distance. The secret is knowing when not to buy. I've heard it said that a fool and his money are easily parted!
Apologies if I misunderstood. Does that mean you got burnt? I didn't mean to imply that you were the fool if so, just that I've so far managed to avoid getting caught - so far!
Done it 6 maybe 7 times and not had to many issues, Would never buy long distance private, only issues ive had were with Jem speed shop as mentioned before and Languna Maidstone (Told the ktm I bought had full documented service history and the bike came with none what so ever) issue never got solved on this but saying that the bike was a cracker.
Sometimes the best approach but not one I would expect from you go tap him on the shoulder, even just for the pleasure that he will sleep uneasily
edited/deleted racist comments Let the Finm loose on his arse I'm sure you will be passing by on a trip one day anyhoo
