Yep. I read something a few days ago that basically read that Dorna insisted. Being as Dorna supply most of the budget to Tech3, they have to listen. Yonny supposedly brings in more revenue for Dorna.
I see Michael Dunlop is getting to test the Suzuki MotoGP GSX-RR at Sepang, look forward to seeing that! Under a week to go...
It’s a wee reward/thank you from Suzuki for winning at the TT. There’s a couple of superbike riders getting a test as well. Don’t care how fast or slow he goes, still want to see it. And hear what he says afterwards!
Both Yamaha and Suzuki seem to do that, reward national riders with an international race or test session. Or throw them into endurance races as a thank you.
had the same crazy thought! be very interesting... Never happen mind. And he's not of the right caliber yet I think. genuinely think morbidelli is an alien in the making but the vds bike won't showcase his skills. The tech3 if as competitive as last season is the bike for him. It sounds like its down to dorna but rossi I'm sure must be itching to get one of his academy boys on the yam.. Or maybe not!!
When my mate was a mechanic for the Red Bull 500 team they all got three laps at Philip island. He asked McCoy where to brake for the corner at the end of the straight and Gaz said to brake 150 feet after a small marker post he pointed out then just sling the thing on its side. My pal braked 150 feet BEFORE the post and still didn’t make the corner !
