It's a security tri screw bit, like the ones supplied for the throttle spacers https://panigaleheatshield.com/prod...s-2017-monster-supersport-xdiavel-multistrada
I just got a security bit set for a few pounds from Amazon..... Silverline 909353 Security Bit Set 25 mm - 33 Pieces https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000LFW6PQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_dqLAAbBM31R65
Perfect, cheers. Going to put a couple of pieces of self adhesive heat shrink on the throttle stops to see if it will remove the excessive play.
Be careful putting that housing back on, there is a little nipple that drops into a hole in the handlebar and it is very easily broken. If you break it no amount of tightening the screws will stop the housing from spinning around on the handlebar. As said above the throttle spacer kit is a good job
The kit is not that expensive if you think how vital the throttle is, in terms of it's freedom of movement. I would be very wary of adding heat shrink around those nubs, The kit comes with hardened plastic spacers. Heat shrink will eventually wear away or potentially could become dislodged after it constantly comes into contact with the mating surfaces the nubs butt up against. Not sure it's worth the risk of a jammed throttle. I'm sure it will be effective. Just wouldn't stake my life on it IMHO.
Im sure these were £20 a few months back. I just orded some off ebay for 32 now He must be selling a few. Some more bits to add whilst the weather is poo
He has a discount code advertised all over Facebook at the moment.... email and ask for a discount off of your order.
That’s where I got mine. Delivered the next day. Just speak to the parts department. However, you won’t get the tri-wing bit in their kit (or at least you didn’t 2 years ago).
