  1. Can you tell the difference from 12ft??

  2. Can't remember the last time I saw a Japanese warrior with shades on looking like Roy Orbison.

  5. These police officers that shoot or tazer innocent people should be jailed then they might think before pulling the trigger !
Just like police marksmen shooting a guy in the head for having a table leg in a bag WTF !

  6. What's the range of a Taser? A few feet, isn't it?

The Plod that Tasered the blind man obviously needed to see an optician himself.

....or, did he just feel like bringing someone down that day?

    AL

  7. Maybe the blind men took the last spot at spec savers .... just before the plod.

  8. When I'm walking again I think I'm going to use a samurai sword instead of a carbon fibre pimp cane, just to be safe...

  9. And carry your own tasar.

Wouldn't it be ironic if 'perps' started carrying tasars themselves? It would be hilarious to see the cops and robbers in a tasar shout out (all within 12 feet of each other).

  11. it's the hottest weapon on the streets here. They're using higher capacity variants than the Police tho

  12. My last experence with Chorley Police. A few years ago they were knocking on peoples doors to tell them not to leave the engine running to de frost the windscreens in the mornings, as some cars had been nicked.

As it happened I had a couple a of cars on the drive that were up for sale. As they were not being used on the road I had not put them on the MID.

Annnnyway 5 mins after PC YTS had knocked on the door he was back and asking to see my insurance for the cars as he had done a PNC and they had come back with no insurance and no registered keeper.

Well let me just say I am not good at mornings and even less so when PC YTS is about to give me a producer!!!!! ON MY DRIVEWAY!!! Well he certainly got a lesson in crossing the line, I was near on chasing him down the drive in my boxers, " How fucking dare you come here and give me this shit AND why are you fucking PNCing my fucking cars" !!! it was very funny and made even funnier as my next door neighbour is an officer of the Law and was just taking the kids to school so saw the whole job.

How I never got locked up for public order was beyond me

  13. That was very funny and even funnier when read in a Harry Enfield outraged pub-drinker voice.

  14. Were your cars taxed? Off topic I know but I have an MG which like all MG's blew its head gasket so I stuck it on the drive and cancelled the Insurance as I had no intention of fixing it quick. It had tax on it. Not long after I got a letter from The MIB telling me that it is an offence to keep a car thats taxed without insurance wether its in your garden and broken down is irrelevant. Choice was cash the ta in or get it insured

  15. Yeah, that came about quite recently. I think the idea is to prevent cars appearing legal while uninsured.

The other one you have to watch is private land that is public accessible (such as pub car parks) and even some driveways, the vehicle can be SORN but does require third party insurance and therefore MOT. Reason for that is if your vehicle somehow injurs a passing member of the public (eg a burn from an exhaust pipe or a gash from a Sharp rusty edge) there has to be an insurance policy to claim from.

Mum and dads house in the UK had a wide driveway, all of it on the deeds to their house. The edge of the driveway did however provide access to the neighbours back gate. As this left the driveway 'public accessible' you could not park an uninsured vehicle on it. By extension, mot was also required ax insurance is invalid without it (ditto driving licence required)

  16. A friend if mine recently found out he cannot park his car on his own driveway. Turns out the land on his property only extends a couple of feet onto the driveway, the rest being council owned 'footpath' despite being quite clearly the driveway running up the side of the garden.. apparently its something to do with it being an ex council house - its something about which department maintains what. When the house wad sold only the house and gardens were transferred, the drive was never on the deeds.

  17. This was a few years ago and I know the rules have changed but I really dont know what the crack is now a days. I have trade plates and trade insurance so chance are new rules wont affect me

  18. Could you not just put it on a SORN (statutory off road notification). It doesn't cost anything and you don't need to insure it.
