You can always expect to lose £500-1000 trading in with a dealer over what you would get privately on any car or bike. This is the price you pay for getting them to sell it on for you. On the other hand you might manage to negotiate the same amount off the price of the new bike so it can work out reasonable if not the best value approach.
Ill see what they value the bike at and ill take it from there, 1199s, 1 owner from new, full termi race system, DP tail tidy, carbon hugger, and race seat, PPF on all panels, FSH, 1300miles, never out in the rain either apart from when dealership had it.
put a picture up on this web site with a price and see how you get on,you just might have to speak to the Boss of the forum!
That sounds like a great bike and one that anyone after an 1199 will want to look at first. My experience in selling my 1199S and 1299s previously had great results with AutoTrader, didn't get a sniff on MCN. However, if you like wotsits, there will be plenty on here that will try to tempt you. If it was me, hold out for multi and family packs. GLWS.
Looking back at the previous 1198/1098/848 versions there prices were not affected with the introduction of the Panigale , thing is if you have 10k to spend on a bike you are not gong to be looking at a V4.
as we all know what the bike is worth means absolutely nothing as it all depends who wants one at the time of selling. selling higher value bikes is always a lottery and we all know what sort of idiots there are out there who give silly offers. I pex my 2 year old 1299 with akras for a V4 lost 5k but thats what you get when you buy new bikes.I have no regrets apart from the silly running in miles. the v4 is not as exciting torque wise low down. just want to use the full revs to feel the full power and hear it sing properly.
