Another random question: LPG in Euroland

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by JerryXt, Jan 11, 2013.

  1. Possibly heading the RR south in a few days. Is it hard to find LPG (GPL) in French and Swiss service stations?

  2. Hav'nt been over the water for a while, but i seem to remember that lpg is readily available all over the place, much more common for years for cars than her.e

  3. I think availability is good in most of Europe, it certainly is in Italy.

Back in 1978 I lived in Italy and we had a Fiesta with LPG conversion, when the car was brought to the UK in the early '80s LPG wasn't available here so my Dad got a hand pump so that he could fill it from gas canisters...

  4. Thanks chaps. i've seen it in Italy, but its been a while since I've driven in France or Swiss and I wouldn't have been interested in alternative fuel then.

Andy, that's really helpful! Thanks. Well done!

  5. I've heard about those service stations.
