Okay, so I was bored. UK legislation does not sepcify a limit to the number of approved fuel vessels you can fill at a petrol station. Any restriction applied by the retailer is just that and should be as a result of a local risk assessment. UK legislation restricts what you can use, up to 10 litres in plastic and 20 litres in metal, which must be UN approved. You cannot store more than 30 litres of petrol at a domestic residence. These limitations do not for some strange reason apply to diesel fuel. Andy
