Hey there this is probably simple but I've never done it so looking for advice. I want to upgrade the bulb in my 2006 Ducati Monster 1000DS H4 headlight to LED. Looks like the only tricky bit is having enough room behind the headlight for the heatsink on the LED fitting (I've attached pic). Has anyone does this successfully and what were their thoughts on the result?
Retro-fitted LED headlamp bulbs are still in an early stage of development and evolution. Headlamp filaments need precise alignment in relation to the reflector in order to work efficiently and also need to be sender in order to not shroud the resultant beam. Whether retro-fit LED bulbs are quite there yet is pretty controversial and also, there may be a problem with legality.
