hey all, after my 899 was stolen I had held off getting a bike. But have missed riding and now eyeing up a couple of 1199s to have something I haven’t tried. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/202223331861 https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/173150283447 I was a bit iffy on the 2nd one as it’s been listed a couple times, and didn’t have many good feed backs. Also considered, s1000rr, Panigale 959, and slightly older gsxr750 k8 onwards.
Agree about the 'iffy' seller of 2nd one..... The 1st (without looking at it) not sure if it has ABS, but needs a service and MOT, also as hes private, I'd start at £9k...
I agree second ones a bit iffy, well the owner sounds a bit iffy. Check his feedback, seems he's not afraid of pulling the plug if it doesn't make what he wants. Also lazy advert. Maybe it's just me, but when I advertise I put every detail I can into the advert so anyone interested is fully informed of bike history, condition, extras etc. Can't be bothered advert equals can't be bothered attitude in my book.
Don't let me talk you out of an 1199 but.............. Go and ride a 959 Newer and are are a very good thing! A very pleasant more powerful version of an 899. Unless you have ridden one you will find a stock 1199 quite pig like after a civilised 899. An 1199 is not a more powerful 899, it's a different animal !!!!
Go for the 1299 that Nelly posted the other day. https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/panigale-1299.57585/
1299 is plenty of money! But IMHO for the $ amazing thing. That's why I don't have one, down in the colonies they still want plenty for em.
Yeah I did consider that, but they all seem to be pretty pricey Yeah I was thinking if they are harder to live with? Also, pig like? It’s tough atm, as I made my budget at 9k tops
