Hi Simon, yeah, had it dropped to as low as it can go without shredding the tyres, now running on Bilstein B14's and H&R anti roll bars fitted, drives as it should have always done tbh. Just in time for Dubfreeze tomorrow lol
First decent ride since my cataract op in November, the roads were wet and salty but just great to get out.(had to clean the blighter after).
Went to the mcn London bike show. Saw the new 1100 scramblers. Looked at the Austin racing exhausts for the panigale. 10 to 12week delivery from time of order. ! Just a general comment is that bikes certainly seem to be creeping up in cost. Many bikes in the £18 - £20 k bracket now.
That maybe why we are seeing a rise on pcp's on bikes now in a way we never had before? The stupid prices on brand new bikes make it difficult for most probably. It's a bit like the recent rise in postage stamps, most of the market has fallen away so now they just keep pricing and pricing upwards, the customers they have left.
Picked up a second hand, but as new, set of Gee Tech paddock stands......stupidly priced but great quality.
i agree with the stupid prices,, only ever paid outright there and then for the bike ,,would not buy a new motorcycle now!
Just got home from the pub having gone straight down there with Carole for a bite to eat after we got back from the ExeCel. Busiest I’ve seen it for several years although the show itself is still ‘small’ in a nice way. Not there this time to look at bikes but had a few boxes I needed to tick. I have come home with a new Bike Trac unit for the V4 and sorted out the Bike Trac subscription renewal for the Multistrada. The Bike Trac people are really nice and for the price of a Mars Bar, they have looked after me as one of their long time customers (6 years !) Arranged with HEL to make up a new pair of front brake lines for the dry break connectors I bought last year which with hindsight, had the connectors too close to the calipers. Super people at HEL too, easy to deal with and very reasonably priced. Picked up a couple of extra hangers for the Bike Tidy I got for my birthday and last but not least bought a Shoei Neotec 2 Excursion TC6 with integrated Senna 20s intercom for a showtastic special price. Ready for bed now coz my old bones is knackered but it’s been a good day. Andy
Evening at http://www.fischers-baslowhall.co.uk/ for a belated Valentines meal with my beautiful wife
Had a lovely afternoon at the mother in law's 90th yesterday afternoon in Derby. Saw lots of people I'd not seen for years there (furthest came from Norway). Then yesterday evening we went to see Jason Manford in Sheffield. Although I've always thought he was a bit "meh", I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. He was very funny indeed. This afternoon we are going out for lunch with the girl next door.
Went for Thai meal with mum, sister and son last night. On the way I said to my lad: "Looking forward to dinner?" "Sure am dad" "I don't think you've ever had Thai before son" "Don't be silly dad" "No really, you've had Chinese once or twice but I don't think Thai". "Dad, I have pie every week!" " Thai not Pie, 'T' not 'P', were going to a Thai restaurant not a Pie restaurant". "Oh, but I want pie, do Thai restaurant have pies?". "No son, it's like Chinese". "Welll as long as the have spaghetti that'll be fine".
Just getting ready to go and see what will hopefully be the sixth Duc in my little collection. Not bought a Duc for about 3 years so getting quite excited
