  1. How tall are you @Diver ? Or do you lie in the middle of the road to take pictures? :worried:

  4. Could consider a Flat Track Pro. Great bike and only made them for one year.

  6. Specialist cars in Malton have been disposing of someone's collection of pre 2010 MV's
The 2 they have left I believe are 0 miles but well above your price range
    A 750 Oro and 750 SPR.
If I could just raise a few more pounds I would have the SPR but I am afraid I would devalue it as I would use it. I could even con the wife just tell her I had bought a different fairing for mine

  7. That's always the paradox with a 0 mile bike. You are essentially paying a premium for a motorbike to use as an ornament, as you can't use it. :worried:

Unless you are EliteSuperKnobParts, where you could break it for 4 times it's actual value. :punch:

  10. Cooky,,their are three types of bikers out there,,one is the collector that will not use it and just wants a long term investment and very Good return, the second is the person that rides the bikes and keep the miles under control and the third is normal people that just gets on with it and enjoys:)so each to their own:thinkingface:

  11. There are 4 types, the 4th being the ones who build the bikes they ride, not just swap a few bits ;). I am all 4, so Cookies opinions are immaterial to me :innocent:
If you have money to invest why not invest it in your hobby - don't matter about the 'I would ride them all to oblivion brigade'
Let them invest in isa's and piggy banks as it's much more fun to them

    :yum

  12. There's no right and wrong answer to what you should do with a bike, if it's yours, do what you want with it. I've never understood the holier than thou comments of "Use it on a track as it was intended" Well firstly, they mostly came with a headlight and horn, so weren't intended to be used on the track. Secondly, if that's what people want to do with their bikes, more power to them, but don't tell me that I have to do the same.

If people want to ride their bikes all the time with little regard to residuals, then again, fair play. I personally don't ride mine in the winter because I don't like the greasy roads, reduced daytime hours, sun on the horizon and being cold. However, if I was that inclined, I'd buy a hack that i wasn't bothered about. All of the bikes I have at the moment, I am bothered about.

The point about 0 mile bikes is, unless you intend to do exaclty the same thing with them as the previous owner did, once you buy them, financially it doesn't make sense. If you want an ornament, crack on.

  14. It's more a policy of selective amnesia, whenever girlfriends ask for stuff (like proper expensive stuff, the latest being a swimming pool) I can say 'oh that, that only cost about 1500!'

  15. I've not got problem with investing money in bikes, I've done it with my 996 and my toseland race bike but both still get ridden, just don't see the point in them sitting there. Again only my opinion so people do what you want with your bikes :D

  17. Old hypermotard: Just a bit leftfield, not too popular, not many evo sp's around....Mine's too far gone to be worth any money in the future (in that, its had so many mods done to it), but, personally id always go for the modded bike than a stocker as its cheaper in the longrun. Definately the 1100 of whatever you get though. Nothing like an old 2 valve air cooled duc motor. Seond choice would be an 1100 streetfighter followed by an 1198.
