I wasn’t a fan of the pr4’s. Did a lot of miles on the earlier pr3 and thought it was a better tyre than the 4 personally.
Agree, 4 was built on the splendid work the 3's did and 3's were always sought over the 4's if possible.
Anyone have a set yet? The 4's wear cupping issues put me off, the 5 looks like it might be better! Think I'm also going Metzler.
Just fitted the 5’s this morning, will ride into the bike show tomorrow which should have them scrubbed in Nothing to report so far, just the great feeling new tyres bring ...
Yes, I'm contemplating reality and fitting sport touring tyres to the ole' R1 this year as it's likely going to be all the better for it. The Road 5 are appealing.
Hmmmm. Michelin fan but Conti Road Attack 3 better than Pirelli Angel gt. 5 seconds adrift Michelin? Nope.
Edit, unless going out on cold tyres. Found all Mich roads work quick. Roadsmart 3 were also great but defo needed some heat. Conti current favourite for this type of tyre. Would love to know ALL of the facts around these tests. Brand new tyres or scrubbed in. Proper warm up..or not etc Anyway, should be good if the front tyre has a less weird tread. 3s and 4s went odd after a few miles! (technical term..)
