Have to agree Char, invention of the devil. I have handbags, I have some really nice ones. rarely use them, I leave them places, trip over them, then what do you do with them when shopping!! you need both hands free!
I'm usually dragging a laptop around between work sites with paper work so my rucksack is my handbag at work, even if I haven't got my laptop I still use it as I can't be bothered to transfer everything.
If I go shopping (rarely as it happens) my purse is in the inside pocket of my jacket, supermarket shopping and the debit card is in my jeans pocket and if it rains...I wear a coat with a hood as don't own an umbrella (another invention of the devil).
Anyway, none of my bikes have a handbag hook.

 

Ditto, give me a hand bag and ill loose it for sure.

What the fuck has that ugly as hell bag got to do with the rest of the ad anyway? Total fail.

I hate handbags, isn't that what pockets are for? Phone, wallet, keys...simples.
